Thank you for posting the note.
I apologize, your visit sounds like it wasn't enjoyable and one we wouldn't be proud to provide. We are a little shop that cares. We fix things no fuss.  I don't see a record of us fixing any issues. By chance did you let the server know your burgers weren't what you were expecting, and that the wait time was uncomfortably long?

We have recently doubled up with all of our staff due the increase in recent regular visits, so them being not attentive or slow from the kitchen is unexpected and concerning.

Being a small restaurant we can address things quickly and continue to earn our neighbourhoods visits. Please help us, let us know what day and time when you were in, what kind of burger you had, Salmon, Chicken, Beef, Veggie.

We also love to hear from people directly at 604-873-1010 or feedback@thetipperrestau… if anyone  prefers not to interact with the staff on shift.

My wife and I came here looking for a burger.  We waited 45mins to finally get our burgers and they were dry and over cooked.  Worst burger I've ever had.  0 apologies for the long wait for our food as our server was not attentive.

I’m celebrating my 4th year anniversary in Vancouver this morning. The only place I would ever want to do that is at The Tipper in east van. This is where quintessential Canadian warmth and kindness lives. That feel good Vancouver community spirit is served here everyday in the smile of everyone who works here. Thank you guys for the ultimate Canadian dinning experience, and thank you for the friendships that you’ve given me over the last few years. Much love.

If the bar from your small town had an affair with that greasy spoon from your college years and that union spawned, spawn, and that spawn got a 'leg up' from a government assistance program you'd have "The Tipper": a speedy kitchen, absolutely zero pretentiousness, variable (and wonderful) real human staff, and sriracha on the tables! Quality breakfast at a decent price. Bennies on weekends: otherwise get the eggs with toast and bacon. Great place for low-key weekday breakfast.

One of my favourite spots in the city. Food is so good. They are eco friendly. Cool art on the walls. Staff are treated right. Event space in the back. This place is a rare jewel. Often not as crowded as other spots for brunch. I'm tempted to not even post this because I want to keep this place all to myself but they deserve the love.
