Thursday : Liquor Licence Renewal invoice Received.
Note; Local Art has been temporally removed to prep the walls for as fresh coat of paint. Displaying of local Art will continue as long as we continue.

Thursday Noon AA Meeting is not being hosted until further notice. Members are always welcome to join us for for quality eats.

My favorite breakfast place/diners on Kingsway. Its so cozy and kitschy. A perfect place to eat & drink coffee with friends on a rainy Vancouver day.
Very happy that they carry vegetarian options as well. Also, the staff are lovely ♡

The quickness of this event has been heart breaking and heart warming.

It breaks my heart to see our neighbours, regulars, friends, have to close their shops, us having to lay off fantastic friends who chose to work here.

Myself who was in the shop solo today ya know cleaning, managing the food systems, Doing ROEs. I had a few regulars tap on the window, made them their usual eats, had a nice chat (from a distance) so it was a rather positive day. A day where I could spend more time engaging in the reals of life.

After my usual 6am - 6pm because I'm still programmed to do so and the mop pail needed to be sos ed. Not going to eat from my own restaurant kitchen, not today. My Neighbours to the west of us are offering take out and delivery within 5k. Me, I'm standing out front with my phone looking at the menu to order. they come out and another kind chat takes place. They are passing along well wishes to My sister who also is a key part of the Tipper. We finally get to the food part, their phone number programmed into my phone just about to hit send, Yes, here to order your eats! I had a better than nothing day x9 single orders I tell them, I'm here to support you. Nope they would not accept my payment.... In the tough times some people really have the chance to shine. Plus, the food was fantastic.



Look I'm not a writer, in fact the lacking is a gift that contributes to this persons ever moving forward. At this point. Clearly Don't have one of the long list of pals who have proof read my intentions over the years, help with the formalities of word speak. It took a while to see that it was a thing, a gift, a humble way to get vibes passed to smarter people with kind hearts. With thanks to all of you kind proof reading sounding boards.

Ok straight up 5 stars to the homie head chef. I called in to get myself a nice burger and poutine in the middle of all this chaos, not even sure if they'd be open. And my guy answers saying that his kitchen isn't open rn but he can fire up is grill and get us the grub we want. I wasn't expecting anything but what I got was excellent customer service.

This is one of those one of a kind restaurants ! We were able to reserve a table cause there were 5 of us .
We had a friendly welcome as we entered the Tipper restaurant, it's not too bright and easy on the eyes.
I was surprised they had Buffalo burgers on the menu, so I ordered one and it was very good cooked perfectly ! I had a 1/2 order of a salad and fries which were one of the tastiest fries I have eaten , we also ordered 2 pasta dishes and chowder and regular hamburger , which were all very good .
Also our server Patricia was very nice and got all our orders perfect , which was important because my wife has food allergies .
The restaurant has various artists works all over the walls which are quite interesting and funny specially Batman with fishnet stockings and high heels 😜 ?
The place was very clean as were the restrooms, the food prices were reasonable and they had some beer at special prices which were also good .
It was an all round good experience and we will be back 😎👌

I am a regular attendee of groups that utilize the space at the Tipper and host/arrange events there. I often show up early, seat myself at the bar or a table with my e book or laptop, ask for a glass of water and just hang out until my event starts. The staff is fun, engaging and on point with keeping my water glass filled and has never (even not knowing that I am meeting there with a group later) questioned me taking up a seat where a paying or paying customers could be sitting depending on where I choose to sit.

I have always enjoyed the food I order, as well as, my friends food cause they share theirs with me sometimes because their orders are a good size and they often have more than they can eat! I am a lucky cat!

I love the Tipper and I wish it was in my neighbourhood. I would make it a more regular haunt of mine.

Public Reply: For little Restaurants that care about the neighbourhood, the quality of nourishment they serve, providing a unassuming space, non-plastic service with no suggestive selling. Not fancy. After a review with little details or contact... this is the best time to visit. The owner has worked daily, often from open to close to identify and correct possible concerns. Besides a Friday night when a meetup group booking jumped by 30 plus people and put immense strain on our humble operation... Bookings are now required to update us within x5 of expected guests. All has been as it should. Quality eats, sourced locally, served by happy persons who get to be them selves. We've had 12 years to work out a lot of the kinks, it's a unique space, we do the best with what we have, a low carbon, sustainable choice for those who care about such things... - Colin Shandler
